With the construction of a new 1,250 m² production hall, we are sending a clear signal for growth, efficiency and future security at the Karwitz site. The additional space not only allows us to significantly expand our production capacity, but also strengthens our market position and our ability to be a reliable and high-performance partner for our customers in the long term – with even more flexibility, delivery reliability and technical precision.
Construction work is proceeding according to plan, with the ground-breaking ceremony taking place a few weeks ago. Completion and commissioning of the new production infrastructure is scheduled for November 2025.
High-end technology for fully automated sheet metal processing
Inside the new hall, a state-of-the-art, fully automated sheet metal processing centre is being built that will take our production to a new technological level. In detail, the new machine technology includes
- a fully automated sheet metal warehouse with 250 pallet spaces and an impressive storage capacity of 625 tonnes of steel,
- an additional 6 kW laser system with automatic loading and unloading,
- as well as a fully automated robot press brake with 220 tonnes of pressing force and a working width of up to 4,000 mm,
- another photovoltaic system with 218 kW (450 kw in total) of power including a storage unit.
This fully networked system enables a virtually self-sufficient material flow – from storage to cutting and forming. This investment enables us to increase our production capacities, significantly reduce throughput times and at the same time ensure maximum precision and flexibility in production. At the same time, we are relieving our employees of physically demanding tasks and can deploy them more specifically in qualified, value-adding areas.
With this investment – supplemented by our existing, state-of-the-art machinery with welding robots and other automated production systems – we are ensuring that we will remain a strong and reliable partner in the field of conveyor technology in the future and will be available to our customers and partners worldwide with one of the most modern production facilities in our industry.
